4/25/2004 - 24-Hour Comics Day Complete!

WE'RE ALL DONE! Chris completed his comic in 23 hours and 55 minutes, while Tom had come close to completion on his by the end of the 24-hour period. A huge thanks to Travis Nixon and the crew at The Coyote's Den, and to everyone who stopped by to root us on or checked out our webcam! We'll post news about our plans to print up these comics we've slaved over here soon.

4/24/2004 - 24 Hour Comics Day Begins!

24 Hour Comics Day is here! Chris Watkins and Tom Galambos will be hard at work on the 24 hour challenge at The Coyote's Den in Canandaigua, NY from 10am Saturday to 10am Sunday. Click here to view a Webcam of the event!

4/23/2004 - BorderWalker Anthology 2004!

Chris and Jack have been hard at work over the past two months putting together the first official BorderWalker print comic: the BorderWalker Anthology. We're very psyched about this, and we're hoping it turns into (at least) an annual publication of fantasy adventure tales. This first issue is a "flip" book, featuring a brand new Legacy Dawning yarn from Chris Watkins, and a brand new Redbeard: Bounty Hunter tale from Jack Pendleton, and will be released in May. In fact (if all goes well at the printer) we'll be debuting the book at the Pittsburgh Comicon next weekend! The book will be made available on this site as soon as it's released, as well as at this year's conventions, so check back here in May to get your copy! Above is a sneak peak at the covers.

The gun was jumped last week, when part 10 of the latest arc of Peter Delgado Jr.'s RPG Blues: Campaign was posted before part 9. So without further ado, here's Part 9.

4/16/2004 - 24 Hour Comics Day!

Chris Watkins and fellow comic artist Tom Galambos will be participating in the grand national sleep deprivation experiment known as 24 Hour Comics Day. Spawned from the challenge invented by Scott McCloud, 24 Hour Comics Day was dreamed up to put comics folk across the map to work on the challenge on the same day: April 24, 2004 (which is also, incidentally, Chris's birthday, so you know, presents are welcome...) Chris and Tom, and any associates they're able to drum up, will be working around the clock at The Coyote's Den, in Canandaigua, NY. If you're in the area, stop by and watch two men killing themselves with ink and paper!

4/16/2004 - 2004 Convention Update

As promised, we have some additional news on our planned convention appearances for the season. The first of the batch will be this month--the Pittsburgh Comicon, from April 30 through May 2nd. The PittCon is the first and biggest show we do each year, and it's always a lot of fun. This year will be extra exciting, though, because we'll be debuting two books: Jack Pendleton will be revealing his brand new Redbeard: Bounty Hunter book, Ten Tales of Shadria, a 300-page collection of illustrated stories, full of blood, sweat, and magic. Also planned for debut is the first BorderWalker Anthology, a pairing of fantasy comic tales from BorderWalker creators Chris Watkins and Jack Pendleton--including (at last) new Legacy Dawning material! The full list of conventions we've currently got on schedule can be seen in the March news archive. The next show after Pittsburgh will be the Cortland Comic Fair on May 8!

4/16/2004 - New Poll

There's a new poll up on the home page--check it out and let us know what you think about the best way to read comics. And thanks for all the votes on the previous poll! Chris is currently working on a return to Legacy Dawning, and your opinion has been heard.

4/11/2004 - RPG Blues: Happy Easter

Here's a post-Easter gag from Peter Delgado Jr.'s RPG Blues! Although things have been quiet on the update front, rest assured the BorderWalkers have been working hard in their deep dark art dungeons to make keen new comics material for the months to come. More news will be posted as events develop!
